SCAR-y Halloween - 2Spooky4Me - October 11, 2025

SCAR is happy to partner with the Los Alamitos Unified School District to present SCAR-y Halloween - 2Spooky4Me at Oak Middle School.


Weight Classes:
1.  Beetle Weight full combat in the newly upgraded 8' SCAR BattleHEX
2.  Plastic Ant Weight in the SCAR 4'x6' A frame 
3.  Fairy Weight in the OAK 4'x4' Arena

Registration Fees: Fairyweight is free for both EDU and open class. Other weightclasses are $10 payable at registration.

Please limit team registration to one robot per weight class.  Secondary robots for the same team will be added to the waitlist, with priority given to unique teams.

All are welcome to spectate, and the event is all ages.  If you have found registration is full, please email me and we may be able to make space for you.   You will need to bring all that you need (tables chairs tools coolers, etc) as there is limited resources at the property.  Also, if you have extra needs outside of things mentioned please contact me and we'll see what we can do to address those needs.  Power will be run to a dedicated charging table.

This will be a daytime event so plan accordingly.  While there will be some partial to full shade feel free to bring easy ups for gaurunteed cover.  Bring your own tables and chairs to the event.

Rough Schedule:
  • 8:00am - Arenas arrive + Arena Assembly
  • 8:30am - Registration Begins
  • 8:55am - Drivers Meeting
  • 9:00am - 4:30pm - Competition
  • 4:30-5:00pm - Awards Ceremony
  • 5:00- 6:00pm  Pack pits and cleanup

Attendees:
  • Under 18 must be accompanied by parents or guardians
  • anyone welcome to attend
  • Competitors must register before the event to ensure competition slots
    • you may bring a robot in case spots open day of
    • you should contact event organizer about last minuite registrations
    • additional registration will be taken in order of wait list
    • Please check with event organizers for unique or unusual designs and their application to the linked rulesets
    • please read the rules as they have been slightly modified from original sparc ruleset as sparc had guidelined for modified rulesets

Come hang out with veteran and star combat robot builders, get some battles in, and have a nice easy bot bashing saturday!
