Welcome to SCAR
Southern California Attack Robotics (or "SCAR") is a 501(c)3 non-profit with the specific mission to educate area youth on the fundamentals of combat robotics (also known popularly as "Battlebots" TM) while educating and promoting character-building skills.
The means of providing such education includes, but is not limited to, providing a supervised league of combat robot events structured under the rules and regulations of the Standard Procedures for the advancement of Robotic Combat (also known as the SPARC rules) and/or similar robotics combat event programs. Finally, the organization is designed to foster national amateur sports competitions in robotic combat.
SCAR hosts multiple tournaments per year, with robots ranging from 150 grams to 30 pounds.
